The setup was a bit clunky but otherwise a painless process. I'm rockin the three monitors now with no real issues.

Instead I've dusted off two PC's, gave them some upgrade love, slapped an OS on them and X-Plane. I had stumbled across that solution early on but it just wasn't a good fit for my setup/situation. You can also set it up so that the map view is always visible in another window, and you can move that to a second monitor, for example. I use the joystick hat switch to switch views, then, and it really works well. Have you tried this approach? This way, I am basically always able to look forward and to my right or left and get a much wider view. Normally, the system ships within 48 hours.Lucky Crocket MicS lähetti viestin:under linux, I'm able to stretch one window over two monitors, and then change the Field of View so that it appears more natural. The Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti with 8GB GDDR6 and the 8-core, 16-thread Intel processor at up to 4.8GHz makes this a potent machine for churning through X-Plane, or any other work or games. NVME SSDs are capable of data transfers 5x faster than SATA drives.

In order to have different views on different monitors, you would have to have X-Plane running on different, networked computers. You can only have two monitors with different views (cockpit & instruction operating system/map). Lastly, we use a fast NVME SSD instead of SATA. Unfortunately, this is not a feature supported in X-Plane at this time. Anything that is disk-intensive will be much faster as SSDs are so much faster than regular hard drives. That means Windows will load in seconds, not minutes. So, how do we reduce this bottleneck? We do this by providing an SSD now as standard equipment. Mass storage is typically the bottleneck in just about every system. Also, setting up the system is a lot less complicated with the one 49" monitor (instead of three 27" monitors) for your scenery. With the two remaining connections, you could add a RealSimGear 530, 430, 530/430 combo, or even add the G1000 suite. This allows you to use one of the connections for the touchscreen, and still have two left over. Why use a 49" monitor? By using a 49" monitor, we are able to get nearly the same amount of lateral coverage as a triple-display system while only using ONE monitor connection of the four available. I see why X Plane went the route they did with how they setup the multimonitor stuff but something as simple as dragging a new view over to another monitor is apparently just not possible in X Plane (Queue the bad assumptions). Meanwhile, the touch monitor can be used to run air manager to display your instruments. What stunned me here is the really clunky multimonitor support in X-Plane. The large 49" super ultra-wide screen allows you to dedicate it to just the scenery. Multi-Screen support Over 150 Instruments included Instruments are configurable for different aircraft performance data Instruments are scalable to fit all sizes of monitors Dials and buttons on instruments are functional Touchscreen compatible Build Pilot and Co-pilot Panels Includes X-Plane 9, X-Plane 10 (32 & 64bit) & X-Plane 11. However, I am witnessing some strange behaviour. Firstly, I can say the 4K experience with X-plane 10 is mind blowing.

I have tested both in 4K and 1080p on my new Sony 4K TV. We have included everything you need to get flying, except a table and chair. I have just installed my new ASUS Strixx GTX 970 and have been testing it with X-plane 10 (latest beta). Please scroll to the bottom of the page to see demo video!
